APPROXIMATIONS OF MEAN CURVATURE MOTIONS
We model interface using a simple thresholding scheme with two small parameters. Depending on the asymptotic relation between the parameters, this scheme can model interface pinning (no motion), mean curvature motion, or other types of motions, in which the velocity is a nonlinear function of curvature.
